Privacy Policy

Cartini is built with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and — just as importantly — what we don't collect.

The short version

Cartini is a local-first Chrome extension. Your wishlists, saved products, and price data live on your device. We don't require accounts, we don't track your browsing, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

Data the extension collects

Product data you choose to save. When you save a product to Cartini, the extension stores the product name, price, image URL, and page URL locally in your browser's storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share a list.

Price history. Cartini periodically checks prices for your saved products and stores the history locally. This data is used solely to show you price trends and drop alerts.

No browsing data. Cartini does not track which websites you visit, what you search for, or any activity outside of products you explicitly save.

No accounts or personal information. Cartini does not require sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.

Data the website collects

The Cartini website (cartini.app) is a static marketing site. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not run third-party analytics. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by our hosting provider, Vercel, as part of normal web server operation.

Shared lists

When you share a wishlist, Cartini generates a standalone web page containing the product data from that list. Anyone with the link can view it. Shared list data is transmitted to enable this feature. You control what you share, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Third-party links

Cartini links to third-party retailer websites. When you click through to a product page, you are subject to that retailer's own privacy policy. Cartini does not control or take responsibility for third-party sites.

Children's privacy

Cartini is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted on this page with an updated revision date.
